Nokia Releases Latest DVB-H TV Mobile Phone – The Nokia 5330 MTVE

Nokia 5330 MTVENokia recently released its latest candybar slider handset in the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition of MTVE. First unveiled back in March as the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic, the handset was slated for release in the 3rd quarter but has been superceded with the added TV receiver.

Sporting the same elegantly styled slider body, the new Nokia 5330 gets revived to take advantage of the DVB-H TV broadcasts that are now fully deployed in many European countries. They include the Netherlands, Albania, Austria, Finland and Poland, with France and Spain joining them soon. Russia is expected to roll it out next year in key cities. Outside of Europe, Nokia fans in Vietnam, parts of India and in northern Africans countries like Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya and Morocco can enjoy TV watching on their handsets soon.

TV Features

It may take getting used to watching video or TV on its 2.4-inch QVGA screen even when switched to landscape viewing but it gets the job done quite competently. There a dedicated set of keys on the body for channel search and volume control. It has a programme guide (OMA BCASR ESG) than can scan, discover and update channel station broadcasts. You also get 30-second instant replay for those moments you missed as well a recording feature so you can watch your favorite program later. Nokia E75 Review – The New Qwerty Nokia E75 Smart Phone
